What is Yule?

Yule is a winter festival celebrated by many Neo-Pagans, including Wiccans, as the second sabbat of the Wheel of the Year. It marks the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

Yule is a time of reflection and celebration of the return of the sun. It is a time to let go of the old and embrace the new, to set intentions for the coming year, and to connect with loved ones.

When is Yule celebrated?

Yule is celebrated on or around the winter solstice, which typically falls on December 21st or 22nd in the Northern Hemisphere. Some people celebrate Yule over a longer period, such as the 12 Days of Yule.

Here are some ways to celebrate Yule:

* Decorate your home with evergreens, lights, and other natural decorations.

* Gather with friends and family for a feast.

* Exchange gifts.

* Tell stories and sing songs.

* Burn a yule log in a bonfire or fireplace.

* Meditate on the coming year.

* Perform rituals to welcome the return of the sun.

Yule is a time of hope and renewal. It is a time to celebrate the light that returns to the world after the long darkness of winter.

Warm Yuletide wishes to you All,
